We are now open for Real Tennis, Padel, Lawn Tennis and Stické.
Please read the Prested Covid Regulations before your visit
Prested Tennis Club COVID-19 RULES OF PLAY
When booking a court, or a lesson, all players are confirming that they have read these ‘Rules of Play’ and will abide by them.
No one who has, or is suspected of having Coronavirus, or is vulnerable, or shielding should come to the Club. For such people, coming to the Club should only be after a suitable quarantine. No cancellation fees will be charged in these circumstances.
At the time of writing (24/07/20), ‘singles’ games are only permitted for Real Tennis, unless all players are from the same household. Real Tennis doubles will be allowed from 1 Aug 20, with partners endeavouring to maintain a two meters distance as much as practicable. Indoor/Outdoor Padel and Lawn Tennis can play doubles, in accordance with LTA Padel guidance.
Before leaving home, please wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitiser.
Any loan equipment needs to be sanitised.
Players should arrive changed and ready for play and should not enter the Club until close to their starting time. There may be a queue with gym and pool attendees. You are required to distance socially queue (2 meters apart) in the car park. Your temperature will be taken.
Outdoor tennis must use the club entrance, in order to monitor attendance.
When entering and exiting the Club, please clean your hands using the hand sanitiser gel provided inside the entrance to reception. There will also be hand sanitising gel near each court.
For lessons, the professional will remain at the opposite end of the court at all times.
The indoor courts should be vacated 5 minutes prior to the scheduled finish. This will allow time for cleaning and changing players over. This 5 minute gap will be reviewed if congestion is occurring. Players are asked to leave the court swiftly, using the one- way system.
If visiting the bistro/toilets, care must be taken to maintain social distancing.
The changing rooms and shower facilities will not be in use. The toilets will be available.
Players, if needed, should bring their own water bottle, refreshments and towel. Excess clothing and bags to be avoided.
To maintain social distancing on Real Tennis courts, at change of ends the incoming server must wait for the other player to be more than 2 meters away from them throughout.
Please avoid touching the court surfaces as much as possible. Players must not wipe hands on walls.
Please do not touch the balls by hand whilst at the receiving end and limit your contact with them whilst serving.
Players might consider wearing a protective glove (golf glove or latex glove) on their non-playing hand.
Players may consider wearing protective glasses.
Airflow in and around the courts is important. Doors, wherever possible, will be left open around the court.
The courts and high contact areas will be regularly cleaned. The Pros need regularly to clean handles, light switches, keypads and keyboards. Sanitised wipes will be available.
When you have finished your game, please leave the premises promptly and limit your contact with the Pros and the building. If you wish to socialise, please observe social distancing.
Please do not write your game score down at the Club - either tell the pros or email them when you get home.
If, after having been to the Club, you later test positive for Coronavirus, please contact the Pros immediately who can then inform all the players that played that day. All members will be subject to “track and trace” government requirements and will not be allowed to play until after the suitable quarantine period. Playtomic will be our record for attendance. Records will be kept for at least 21 days.
